Inaugural Edition  ·  Submissions Open Now

The Design Authority Awards are open to every studio, practice, and independent creative worldwide. What matters is the work — not the name behind it.

How It Works

A Straightforward Process

We have kept the submission process as simple as possible. No lengthy nomination forms, no mandatory printed materials, no agency intermediaries. Just your work, presented directly to the public.

From Participants

Why Studios Enter

The public voting model changes everything. Our clients voted for us — and that connection between the work and the people it was made for is something no jury award can replicate.

Studio Principal
Residential interior practice, Singapore

We are a small firm. We do not have a PR team or an awards consultant. The DA Awards process was straightforward enough that we could handle it ourselves — and the recognition opened doors we had not expected.

Founding Architect
Independent practice, Kuala Lumpur

Writing the project description forced us to articulate what we actually believe about design. That clarity has since shaped how we pitch, how we present, and how we talk about our work with clients.

Write for a curious, thoughtful non-specialist. Describe the brief you were given, the challenges you faced, the decisions you made, and what you are most proud of. You have 300 words — use them to make someone who has never visited the project understand why it matters.
All accepted entries are published on the DA Awards voting platform from 10 August 2026. Members of the public register to vote and may cast one vote per category. The entry with the highest vote count at the close of voting on 10 September is declared the winner.
All submissions are reviewed within 10 business days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your entry is accepted and listed on the voting platform.
Entry fees are non-refundable once a submission has been accepted and listed. If your entry is rejected for any reason, a full refund will be issued within 7 business days.
